# Keyring

Keyring is a product made by Thinkiyo (https://thinkiyo.com/). Keyring is coming soon and is not yet generally available; there is a waitlist. Like every Thinkiyo product, Keyring runs in the customer's own cloud or self-hosted, and customer data stays in the customer's own database. A person approves anything that goes out to a customer. ## What it is
Every kit out. Every kit back. On record. Book kits, log condition at the door and hold deposits, for camera, lighting and grip houses.

Rental management for camera, lighting and grip rental houses: inventory with serials and condition, availability, bookings that refuse overlapping dates, contracts and deposits, check-out and check-in with condition logs and timestamps, late returns, extensions and billing. Coming soon.

- Track every serial: Condition, notes and status for every item, across locations.
- Refuse clashing bookings: An overlap is blocked, with the booking in the way shown.
- Book, sign and hold the deposit: Reservation, contract and deposit live on one booking.
- Log condition at both ends: Damage ties to the booking it happened on.
- Handle late kits and extensions: Due-back flags, delay marks and late fees on your terms.
- Bill what went out: Daily and weekly rates, part payments and refunds tracked to the booking.
- A camera kit leaves: Every serial and its condition is logged, and the contract signed.
- A lens request that would clash: Keyring refuses the overlap and shows when the 35mm is free.
- A shoot runs over: The booking is extended and the new dates are on the bill.
- Kit A comes home: A cracked hood is logged and the deposit stays held.
